The Party Wall etc. Act 1996

In accordance with the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 Act any works that are notifiable under the act must service valid Notices. Any works that are affected and included within the terms of the Act, must be processed in the correct way, and this start with the correct legal process of service notices on your neighbours to inform them of your intentions to carry out works that could affect them. If you are having building work done on your property that structurally impacts or, in some cases is near a shared wall or boundary then it is a legal requirement that you serve your neighbour(s) with a notice that describes the work and asks for their consent.
